Lecture – Great war

At the regular meeting of the Club, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Club President Igor Mijatovic held a lecture on Serbia and the Serbs in the Great War (World War I). In the lecture, we had the opportunity to see the saber from Great War, the Order from that period, as well as the Serbian newspapers that came out in Bizert. We remembered the victory of our army in the Cerska and Kolubarska battle, the Albanian Golgotha – the largest exodus of the population, the events on the island of Corfu, and the glorious breakthrough of the Thessaloniki Front, when our army crossed 700km a month in an incredible assault for the liberation of Serbia. We also talked about the heroes of that time: King Petar Karadjordjevic – Uncle Pera, Crown Prince Aleksandar, Misic, Sturm, Stepa, Putnik, Bojovic, Pasic and others. In this way, our Club has marked 99 years since the breakthrough of the Thessaloniki front and the liberation of Serbia.
